The little things that make you go WOW
Hi ya'll! Well, it has been many moons since I've posted here!!! So many changes in all aspects of my life since surgery, but nonetheless, I'm still here and hoping the best for you all!!!
But, I wanted to share just a few things that made me have some of those WOW moments over the past few months ~ I'm sure many of you have experienced it, and some of you will!!! Just always remember, this is a life long journey that we are on! The weight didn't come on over night and won't go away over night! And, it's truly a life style change!
So, my few personal WOW moments!
1) I bought a pair of Jeans (size 36) at American Eagle Outfitters!!!! I was ASTOUNDED! (I am below a size 46??????) WOW!
2) I became part of the 'Clicker Club' - was able to get on an airplane comfortably, AND buckle my seat belt with NO extension and was able to actually 'pull the strap tight around my hips'....
3) I stood in line at the Roller Coasters and rides at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas mortified that I would be turned back when it was my turn to board! I fit just fine and still had room to adjust!! So....I was so excited, I went back and did it again!!! LOL
4) I had someone ask me the other day at my gym, "What size shirt do you want? LARGE or EXTRA LARGE?" I almost hugged him! I wanted to say, "ohhhhh whatever the biggest size is that you have....3X?" But, I tried the XL on, and it was a bit big! OMG! And, on that same note, I bought a few work polo's the other day, and they were size LARGE!!!! WHAT? ME? Hellllooooo, what did they do with the rest of me????????
So, those are a few of the little things, but, hec, they made me feel crazy good!
I started this 'Bootcamp' exercise regime today in Las Vegas (where I have moved to) - and they are very cool. I am sore as hell from this mornings work out, but it will help me get some of this skin toned up and get this last amount of weight off! The instructor is very understanding and works with everyones physical abilities! I didn't feel too out of place either while doing jumping jacks in the beginning and having some big buff dude hold my feet while doing sit ups! It was crazy! It's gonna be tough, but I know it will be worth it in the end.
Hope ya'll have a great evening! It's good to be back! If anyone is ever in Vegas, come on by! I've got room for ya!!!
Peace out,
Laurie
