Hey all! Sorry I've been so out of touch for so long.

Guess what I found out yesterday - MY SURGERY GOT APPROVED!!!! WHOO HOOO!!!!!! *Does a chicken like dance around the room*

As of right now, the date's set for May 22. I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. After a year of fighting the insurance company, they finally gave in.

Again I say WHOO HOOO!!!

WOW.....that is awesome.

What type of surgery are you having?

Good to see someone win one once and awhile.

Congratulations... I know how that chicken dance goes!!! :)

Also use this time between now and then to really get good at the behaviors that will spell your long-term success. I tell everyone this because it makes such a huge difference. After surgery is NOT the time to be trying to learn to sip fluids slowly or chew your food well, get those habits and any others that you've been told to follow and you will do fantastic!!!

Getting past the insurance company seems to be a right of passage...

I'm sort of amazed how simple it was for me with my HMO, but grateful after hearing everyone's experiences with theirs.

Congrats!
