Past anorexia and the psych evaluation
Past anorexia and the psych evaluation
Ok, in my early and mid twenties I suffered a bout of anorexia. You can read my bio for details. I think I really screwed up my metabolism and that is why it is difficult for m body to respond to the exercises like it used too... even in the army.
But my question is.... should I be honest about this dark chapter in my past? It does reveal that I had issues of control that I needed to deal with, as well as having had (have) some body image hang ups.
I'm just being honest here, how honest should I be on the eval?

Lie through your teeth. About everything. And, unless the psychologist has been practicing for more than 20 minutes, you might get away with it. Otherwise, expect to get a bad report and to create more problems for yourself in the process.
Dude, be honest. It was a long time ago. It was a situation you remedied and learned quite a bit from. You have the experience of actually being there, and that experience will probably be seen as something positive, considering the way you kicked Ana's ass.
Now, if he asks if you've ever considered being some leather-man's boy slave and moving to the west coast, you might want to be "creative" in your answer. That you might get away with...
Anyway, best of luck on the eval. And be completely honest. The truth can't hurt you anywhere near as much as lying would.
Cheers,
Chris
