Oh silly, at times when you lose 2 much weight you have gallstones and that is what I have. They are going to remove the entire gallbladder :(

Good luck Jerry. That surgery was worse than the bypass. But then again I was allergic to the suture material.

No worries, Jerry.  I just had mine out two months ago, 3 months after my surgery.

After the bypass recovery, this things a breeze.  You'll be back up on your feet before you know it.

Just remember...no weight lifting for 6 weeks.

My surgeon yanked mine out through my belly-button just under three months since my RNY.  The recovery was quite a bit more painful than the RNY, but I guess that can be expected when they reopen wounds that are still healing and yank out a gall bladder turned bean bag from the old belly button.  Afterward, relax, take our meds, and you'll be okay.

Cheers,

Chris

Hoping to have mine out during WLS.

It's in my experience lately been not a huge deal since they do it via a lap.
You should see how they used to do back in the 70's when it was a major procedure...
And having a gall bladder attack is wayyyyyy no fun either as you can see...

Best..
