Iowa legalizes gay marriage!!!
Iowa? Wow. This gives me hope that some of my good friends back in Alabama may one day get to be legally married.
I have to admit, this is a complete surprise. Here in the eastern hemisphere, I don't really keep track of what's going on politically or pop culture wise in the states. I never really watched that much tv. I'm more of a satellite radio listening-let's take a walk kind of individual.
Here in the Philippines, homosexuality is accepted by the general public much more than it is in the states. The Philippines is widely regarded as one of the most gay friendly countries in Asia. It is not unusual to see two guys or two women walking hand in hand down a busy street or mall. The bading (transgender) subculture is alive and well, a part of everyday Filipino life. Whether in the middle of Manila or in a barrio on the most remote of islands, one is very likely to see a Mister Sister. Manila was the first city in Asia to host a gay pride festival. I went to it last year and t was FABULOUS! Best I've ever been to, and I've been to some major ones in the US.
Unfortunately, this is a Catholic country. And although legal protection for gays is becoming a reality, marriage is probably a long shot. But, who would want to get married here? There is no divorce, and having that easy out is the cornerstone of any good marriage. Am I right? Anyone? Hello...

Yeah Iowa.. But if I remember correctly they are the step that CA already completed. The Supreme Court made it legal... We did the same thing but our attempts were foiled by the EVIL Prop 8..
But it's not over yet till the formerly fat now thanks to WLS thin lady sings!!
I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!
