After talking and talking about all the wonderful people I have talked to in this forum, my beautiful wifey has finally joined OH to see what all the hooplah was about lol.... Her name here is OnMyWay1980. She had her orientation on Tuesday and starts her bariatric classes next Tuesday so she's super excited! So go introduce yourself and welcome her!  I'm very very excited to be on this Journey together...

As has been said before, a lot of times your loved ones' lack of support is usually a manifestation of some sort of fear they have, whether it be for your well being, that they will have to examine their own issues more closely or that with your physical changes, other things may change, including the relationship.

Fortunately, my partner at the time was completely supportive through the entire process.  He was at the hospital when they wheeled me off and he was waiting for me in my room when I was finished.  Unfortunately, with our being together for three years at that point, I knew that our relationship had evolved into one of just good friends.  A few months later, I ended our relationship.  It was rough, but we remain friends to this day.

Sorry to stray slightly off topic, but we welcome the wifey!  We look forward to hearing more from the both of you.

Chris

(Sheesh, Chris, you just have to make EVERYTHING about you...)
