Hi All!

Just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Phyllis and I will hopefully having WLS in early June (crosses fingers!). I find out my exact date on April 23rd (my 5th visit). I've been reading through the GLBT message board for the past couple of days. You are all soo awesome! I love hearing your stories and seeing your pages. I don't tend to write much... but I'm sure that will change after surgery. I'm from NJ and am hoping to make some friends who have been or are going down this path of WLS.

I'm so excited to use this tool and so scared and nervous at the same time!

Hope you all had an awesome weekend!!!!

Welcome! This board is the easiest board to chat on. Everyone here is so supportive and very open. I am sure you you know that from our posts. Plus, these folks are just damn nice and a lot of fun. I love the board and you will too. Good luck on your upcoming surgery. -- Tom

Hi Phyllis and welcome. How exciting for you. This is quite the journey and connecting with others *****ally understand it, even from our own points of view, really helps. I don't want to do this ride without the people here. I have made some real heart-connected friends here that I would have never found otherwise. I hope you find a good home here. I'll look forward to hearing more from you about your experiences.

And remember, getting the answers from people who are living through all the various stages of it is the best!!!

Consider yourself welcomed with open arms.
