Seatbelt Extensions...NO MORE!!!

Ok so I just had to share my MOMENT with this wonderful group!!!  I left Friday morning for Canada, my best friend's mother passed away last week...ok so I'm in line to board and the same thoughts run through my head even though I'm now 70lbs lighter. What if I still need an extension, will I need an extension, I could always ask for one and if I don't need it, I'll just return it...I tell ya, it was a mental battle in my head.

I'm happy to say I got beyond that and as I rounded the entrance, I passed the flight attendant and only smiled and said hello...so now as I'm looking for my seat, I'm starting to get a little worried, and start thinking, maybe I should have asked for one.

I sit down and take a deep breath and grab both ends, pull one end all the way out and then bring them together!  OMG, it closed and not just closed, it closed and I had room to pull and make it tighter...I wanted to just cry and turn to the whoever was close by and do a shout out...IT FIT, IT FIT!!!

So, now that I've calmed down, I can't tell you how exciting it was to sit in my seat WITHOUT a seatbelt extension!

Thanks for "listening" and I hope you all have an excellent week, I do ask that you please keep my best friend and her family in your thoughts and prayers, the service for her mother is tomorrow.

I SO know how you feel on that one.  The first time I flew after surgery was about 3 months out, and I was just SURE I'd still need the extension.  Got on the plane and decided to give it a go without, and like you, wanted to do a happy dance all the way to Florida!

Congrats!  I know how awesome that feeling is.  :)

Fantastic!  Good for you.  I travel a ton (so much that I have my own seatbelt extenders LOL) and believe me, this is one of those small victories I totally can't wait to achieve.  Good on ya!!

Congrats! I was 4 months out when that happened. It's a great feeling. At 5 months I could get the tray table down and pull it towards me. Needless to say the hubby made me put mine down so he could sit his Coke on it.  I think this has been the best victory for me since surgery.

Thank you everyone...I truly believe in enjoying the small victories all at once.  I had another when I was able to get into a pair of pants that were 10 sizes smaller or 5 sizes if you go by the double digit method...personally I like the 10 better...lol

Hope you all have an excellent week!
