Feeling Discouraged (Vent)
I checked my voice mail and the Dotors office called but they said...ohhh we have changed our procedure a little bit. We need to you to come back in for another appointment - so we can get a weight on you. Prior to selecting a date and submitting to insurance. Not to mention another copay!
I already have to Pay a 250 admin fee above my deductable and all of my copays....now another copay just to be weighed?? Also that doesnt take into account time off of work! Sigh...I am worried that even though I am doing all of the right things I am not losing fast enough....they want to see 10-15lbs gone before surgery. I alos have to figure out how to raise $500 to pay my copay prior to surgery.
So Frustrated!
Good luck on all of this. For me this was the most frustrating time there was.
Do you drink coffee or pop? You could make your own coffee at home if you buy it out and get a two liter and put it into bottles. It's way cheaper that way.

Thanks for the tips...I actually gave up coffee and soda as prep for surgery.
I have to say that for teh most part the soda thing has been ok....it is hard sometimes because my job gives us free soda....but luckly we also get free crystal lite :)
Remember the more weight you lose before surgery the better your chances are long term of losing it and keeping it off. So try to look at it this way... if it takes a little longer to get your surgery date, that is just that much more time you can work on taking off as much weight as possible. Focus on yourself, your journey, your success. Keep to the routine of the diet and find other, more healthy ways to work out the stress.
I know, easier said than done but that's the best I can do for you. LOL.... just remember you, your life and the people who love you... it's worth it.

I did invest in a Biggest Loser Workout DVD ...I really like the kick boxing part :)
Thanks for all of your encouragement.

Dude this part is the most fustrating.. but it will all be worth it in the end... just remenber to breath and do it.. I would ask for clarification on the co-pay i don't think you'll need to pay it again if its just a weigh in.. for the weight lost prior to operation... My doctor put my on an all liquid diet 2 wks b4 surgery i lost like 18 lbs in those 2 weeks.. it was hard especially since Thanksgivning fell in the middle of all that... but he did let me eat a small soft meal on thanksgiving..
I also had to deal with insurance pains.. so I decided to get on the phone with them and conferance in my doctors office when ever possible to speedy up the referral and authorization process.
good luck
