 Hello Family

GOD IS GOOD ... TODAY IS MY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY... I DID NOT REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT HOWEVER I AM FINE WITH WHAT I HAVE LOST ( I AM NOT GIVING UP)
( DAY OF SURGERY 431   TODAY - 244)  TOTAL LOST 187 POUNDS.  I HAD A 2 1/2 YEAR FIGHT TRYING TO GETTING SURGERY APPROVED BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY,  HOWEVERY MY PARTNER OF 13 YEARS PUT ME ON HER INSURANCE AND I WAS THEN APPROVED WITHIN DAYS.  I KNOW THAT THERE ARE SOME HABITS THAT I HAVE PICKED BACK UP .

1.DRINKING WITH MY FOOD
2.NO WORKING OUT
3.SWEETS. (CHOCOLATE AND NOWLATERS)
4. NOT TAKING MY VITAMINS REGULARLY

MY GOAL WEIGHT WAS 180 POUNDS , I HAVE FAITH IN MY SELF THAT I WILL REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT, I JUST REALLY WISH THAT I CAN BE MOTIVATED AGAIN.  ANY TIPS.

No tips here other than go back to the basics. No drinking with food, no sweets (guilty too), work out, take your vits. That kind of stuff.

Just wanted to say congrats on the 187 weight loss. I always get frustrated too that I didn't get lower. But then I try to focus on where I was and where I am now. Close to a 200 pound loss (I regained about 5 pounds) is nothing to sneeze at. Just remember how far you have come and how much healthier you are at 244 than you were at 431.

Congratulations on your successes. You are truly inspiring in your weight loss and for coming back here. Nice to meet you.

I agree that going back to basics is a good thing. In addition, I would take a look at the mental/emotional components of why you've stopped doing what you know how to do to get to your goal.

My surgeon says they can do the plumbing but we have to do the electrical. LOL

I might suggest making a list of what motiviated you to lose the first 187 pounds. How does that compare now with what motivates you to lose the last 64 pounds? What does that last 64 pounds mean you can't do or have that you want? What does it represent to your in how you view yourself as successful or not? What do you fear facing at 180 pounds that you don't have to deal with now?

I think once you can answer some of these questions and others that only you know to ask, you will find it easier to go back to the good habits that will take you the rest of the way home.

Also, writing it all down, weighing every day and getting into a support group are also good basic habits to get back to.

Hugs for your success... Keep us posted!!! :)

Hi Sweety.  NIce to see you checking in with us.  First of all, congratulations on your loss and maintaining that loss.

You know what you are doing to prevent yourself from reaching your goal.
Let's try this.  Take one item each week and stick to it like your life depended on it.  Then the following week, continue with #1 and add #2, and so on.

Week 1 - Take vitamins regularly

Week 2 - Take vitamins regularly and avoid sugar
Week 3 - Take vitamins regularly and avoid sugar and don't drink with food
Week 4 - Take vitamins regularly and avoid sugar and don't drink with food and start exercising

Before you know it, you'll be back on track and back to losing.  You know you can do this.  You are a beautiful, strong, willful woman and you have total control.

Having just had my surgery a week ago, I look at what you've done and feel so justified in my decision to go through with the surgery.  I keep telling myself that it's a journey and although I see my family eat lovely food that actually has texture, flavor and crunch (siggghhhhh), I know this part is temporary.  And when I look at your success, it gives me the reassurance to keep it going.  You are an inspiration.  You got it going and it ain't gonna stop.

Happy Anniversary!
