Shopping for clothes, what to do!
Do you ever just buy something because it's your size and say hey it must fit? Like how some things didn't come in plus size but you always wanted to try.
For instance, I bought a thong. Now I know they come in big girl sizes ....HOWEVER, I always felt like they'd get lost in my ass somewhere and I kinda thought they were a big girl no-no.
So I found a pair on clearance (50 cents to be exact) and thought "what the heck". Let me just say, the perma-wedgie is NO fun! I don't understand how women like this stuff LOL!
Then there is the juniors vs. misses departments. The Juniors is good for screen tees - you know the ones that say stuff like "Your boyfriend was looking at me". Hmm yeah ..how about no on that one! Then the misses seem like plain solid colors.
I want some tops to go with jeans. I only wear jeans or jean shorts. No khakis or dress pants. Just jeans. Help a sista out!

One of my favorite stores is Express. They have hella cute clothes, is trendy, in our sizes (now) and even though I'm 50+ (in age not size) I have found lots of really good stuff there. Shop the sales though because they tend to be a little $$.
And on the thong... yeah, nope.
I love now that I can wear bikini underwear and it doesn't get lost under the belly. Have to have them to go with my low-rise jeans. Woot!

I admit...I do have thongs...well, used to but they won't fit anymore...woohoo. Anyway, you should never buy anything that's marked down to 50 cents unless it's from Goodwill and then you should never buy underwear from Goodwill...lol...all of that said...spend a little money and get a thong made from nicer material I think you'll notice a difference in fit and comfort.
Now for the other clothes in your life...when I was younger I only wore jeans...jeans...and more jeans. They were comfortable and good for almost any occasion. Then I started looking around at the older lesbians (older at that time would be my current age...lol)...those more established and I noticed they were wearing dress pants or slacks with nice blouses or dress shirts and looked very "smart." I knew right then...that's how I wanted to look. I wanted to stand out and be seen. In our community (meaning the general lesbian community) I don't think we invest a lot in looks and therefore often look rundown...manish...or just not very attractive. I'm sure I'm ******g people off right now, but oh well.
Anyway, have you considered dressing it up a bit? It really does get you noticed. A couple pairs of black slacks and some nice blouses with a trendy jacket or two and all the women will be looking your way. You could throw a couple of scarfs into the mix and really be trendsetter.

OK I am ALLL about the thong... Especially now.. Try Victoria's Secret thongs.. Yes the brand DOES make a difference. But then again if you are into the boxers more than the thong than I prefer hanes...
Beyond that TJ Max is my current fav (I'm not sure if they are out east or not) or Marshall's. I used to heart Ross but the ones near me are a disaster all the time.
Like everyone else said, Kohl's is great too for clearance, I got qutie a few $2 shirts there. And then for screen T's I like Target (can't do Wal-Mart I have a hard time giving money to "the man")
And again there is always Goodwill.. I love my $1.50 jeans!
I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!
I bought a "cheap" thong because I've never worn one before and wasn't sure if I'd like it and didn't want to spend $20 on one and never wear it. Not sure if I'll try another brand or not. I kinda like the boy shorts. I think they are sexy on women :)
I've been doing some shopping, better selecting I think. I got stuck in this jeans and black shirts thing. I have so much black!!!!
If you are on my Facebook I added a new pic of a new outfit. (plus I wanted to show off my size 8 jeans lol)
