I made it to Onederland!

Wow...after fighting the last three weeks to lose five pounds I finally made it to 199.2 yesterday and then 198.6 this morning...I'm officially in onederland!  And, couldn't be more excited!!  I haven't weighted this since I was a freshman in high school.  I was stressing out thinking that's it...I'm done losing weight...I'm never going to get below 200.  Last week, I changed my lunch to go back to some basics (sugar free applesauce with protein, sugar free pudding with protein or jello (sans protein), and low-fat cheese stick) and increased my water, which by the way in the last three weeks just started going down a lot easier.  I'm on my way again and feeling great.  Mentally it feels like I've gotten through a road block and now I'll be losing at a more consistent rate again.

Congratulations Brid!!!

It's so normal to hit these stalls/plateaus. As you said you've not been under 200 for years. It takes your body a little while to remember that losing weight is okay and needs to stop and take a breath occasionally. You will find this happening as time goes on... lose some, stop, lose more, stop, lose more... and sometimes it takes weeks to break through to the other side. You are doing everything right, going back to basics, increasing your water. Just keep doing what you know is right and you will get to your goal faster than you think. And don't panic... it's all good. :)

Bird, I knew you were close behind me. Congrats! I think when we watch the scale so closely we lose focus on other things. Weight comes off in spells for me and I too stressed during the time when the scale read 202, 201, 202, 202... But, it is joyous to see that 199 on the scale. I think you have achieved so much more than just those few pounds over the past weeks. Health, diet and exercisewise you have most likely made great strides. Keep up the good work, girl. -- Tom

Congratulations!  Thanks for the inspiration too . . . I need to intersperse the yogurt and other low calorie snacks like you did!   Soon . . . perhaps I'll get to join onederland!
