Goes to show this new life is not easy...

So some of you know I have been really sick. I started passing out after a cleanse I did for a few days, which turned in to a pretty wicked cold, that I still have the remenants of..

Needless to say I only worked out 3 days in 2 weeks. AND went on vacation this weekend and didn't make the best food choices.

After all that I have gained 10 pounds!! Yes the scale said 10 pounds. I can't even believe it. It seems almost imossible. But no the scale really said 10 pounds more than the day after my cleanse.

Tell that to anyone who says we took the easy way out!

Back in the gym this morning and back to making the right food choices. Once a fat girl always a fat girl?

I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!

Wow, really . . . Good awakening for those of us still firmly in the honeymoon phase!!!  Once a fat girl, always a fat girl is a good reminder.  Whatever the reasons, ultimately we were all fat and have to modify habits and patterns!  A 3 year post-op I went to dinner with before surgery carried a tattered photo of herself in the front of her wallet - everytime she went for the credit card, the picture is visible.

Is the passing out better?  All better from the cold?

I keep a picture in my car and on my fridge.. A constant reminder of 300 pounds me! Hence why I can get back on track rather easily..

The passing out got better as soon as I stopped the cleanse. I think it was to much for my system, and the cold is getting better. Just stuck in my chest. Ewww..

I like the car picture idea.   I guess I'll have to get some printed since everything is digital . . . .

Oh the 300 pound pics are all from the days of 35mm.. It took me a while to get into the 21st century

Oh, Sweetie... I'm so sorry for your struggle. But it sounds like you are getting a good handle on it. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. And thank you for posting this because it's a good reminder for those of us who tend to get complacent at times. The most dangerous words for us are "Oh, this little bit won't hurt." It's so seductive and ultimately so damaging.

I hugs you!!!

Thank you Raven.. And yes I am now inputing EVERY bite into my blackberry so I can see how much it hurts..

Wished we lived closer to eachother the 4 of us could hit the gym together. Wouldn't that be a great motivation??

I'm glad you are feeling a little better.

I'm nervous about our upcoming week long vacay in August. When I'm 'comfy' in my surroundings (like a vacation) that is when I EAT! Luckily we are renting a beach house so I'll have access to an actual kitchen, no eating out for us. The cooler is gonna be filled with different stuff than it use to be that is for sure
