Hello Everyone
I have not really heard much yet. Yesterday I was told that my insurance company hasn't agreed to a meeting yet, but Bev(my financial director) is going over peoples heads and getting an answer today. She said that I have waited long enough, and she is going to find out if I need to redo my Psych Eval or not. If so, she'll get it scheduled, but she is trying to get me approved without me redoing it. But my insurance company are being jerks and not returning her calls. I'll let you know whenever I hear anything. I need this to be over....
The last week or so has been really emotional. My son had to be admitted to the Hospital, and a friend of mine is heading back to Iraq. Luckily, my son is doing a lot better and he is back to normal, and my friend was supose to leave last Monday, but got a call telling him to sit tight for now, but he is on call. Once that call comes in, he is off to Iraq for however long. This will be his 3rd. time. I'm just glad to have some extra time with him. I started this week off great, so now all I need is some good news about my WLS!!!!

xoxo,
Lisa

Hang in there Lisa. I think Bev is doing all the right stuff. You can't ask for anything more. Let's hope she makes it through the red tape soon. I really had an issue with the psych. eval. They use a grad student to administer the test. Then then bill insurance big bucks saying that a psychologist read the test and interpret ted it. I suspect that does not happen. It seems like an un-necessary step to me. That's just my opinion on these tests. -- Tom

It will come eventually. Glad your son is better!!!!!!

I'm sure insurance companies are experiencing the financial crisis too. They are locked in to contracts and have all those unemployeed people dropping out of their income stream. Not that there is any sympathy for them, but I'll bet they've been told to delay the elective surgeries as much as possible. If they are really, really slow, you could try calling whatever your state has for an office of insurance commissioner and complain. (though they are probably understaffed as well)
