Gaining momentum and losing pounds!
This Thursday I had to go meet with a Nut, have a Psych consult, and get a "stress test"/electrocardogram. I have completed all of the steps prior to surgery and now I just have to get approved, come up with $500 and get a date. The doc told me that I have a healthy heart and the Psych and Nut both felt like I am well prepared. AND I lost 7lbs in a week!! I have been following a pre surgery food plan and apparently it's working.
I am working on being mindful and fighting last supper syndrome.
I am hoping to get a date by May. I am really glad that this forum is here.

Congratulations Sweetie... I'm so proud of you. Doesn't it feel amazing... even those first few pounds feel great gone. Welcome to the journey! I hope you'll keep posting about what's going on with you, with the losses as well as how you are feeling about it all. It's quite the shift in perception as well as body changes.

CONGRATS on making it this far in your journey!!!!! CONGRATS on the weightloss!!!! I've had a few friends that have went to Dr. Moran for surgery, they've done really well. As a fellow NC peep, let me know if you need anything! You've found a great support system with this forum!!!!
Keep up the GREAT work!!
Hi!
Sounds like you are well on your way - great that you have already lost 7 lbs!
The work up, surgery and first 4-6 weeks post-op were the hardest. Life after that (2 months post RNY) turns out to relatively easy and so worth it. The "tool" rules are easier to follow than any other diet / lifestyle change and the pouch feedback really does work. It honestly feels natural unlike after Optifast when I felt restricted and conscious of every food decision.
Hope you get a surgery date soon.

Nice to meet you! You are at such an exciting phase! Best of luck to you for getting a date and moving on to the Loser's bench. You WON"T regret this decision, believe me. 7 months out and over 150 lbs gone. Needless to say, I don't miss them! If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
