Yeah that's right! The FDA FINALLY took their heads outta their butts and are letting drink makers use a form of Stevia in beverages. That means I will finally be able to partake in 0 cal beverages other than water and NOT risk a migraine. Now to find the stuff.

* For those of you that don't know, those stupid sweeteners give me migraines. Imma rule breaker, I will drink regular stuff when I snap and can't stand water anymore. Only migraine trigger I have been able to figure out. So much fun pre-op. A living hell post.

Hmmm, I wonder if it's Truvia.  It's made from the stevia plant.  It's actually sold as a sweetener, unlike Stevia which is sold as a nutritional supplement.

It's the Pepsi version of it. Truvia is the Coke/Cargill version of it. I forget what they called it. I have actually seen Stevia in the sweetner section now. As far as I know it was sold that way since the FDA wouldn't approve it as a sweetner. People used it for that and not nutrition. Cracks me up. LOL

I've been thinking of buying some of this new sweetener to try it out. Splenda work fine for me. I like the claims that it is natural product. Does anyone have any first hand experience with it? How is the taste? -- Tom

I love it. It's natural and is used all over the world as a sweetener. Only here in the US has their been problems.

Hi,

I bought some and I really like it. Not only does it sweeten well with minimal if any aftertaste, but it actually looks like and feels like sugar. Its granulated so it has the sugar feel.

We liked the blacknblueberry one. Hoping crystal light type packages get on the stevia wagon. All the little flavor packets are making me gag right now. Back to - horrors- plain water!

Good to hear it's out someplace. I know it's not here yet but as soon as it is I am getting myself hooked up with some. I wish the Crystal Lite type drinks would use it. Plain water gets boring.
