selling clothes

It is suppose to be in the mid to upper 70's this weekend, so I started going Through my summer stuff, I forgot I had so many clothes for the summer. Most of it is really nice stuff and I was thinking about listing them on EBay, has any one had any luck doing this? I was thinking even if I only got 5 or 10 dollars for an item it  would give me more money to buy new clothes. Most of them are designer brands. Any thoughts?

Great idea!  My niece sells her girls clothes on ebay all the time!  Good luck!

I gave my clothes to some friends and then give some of the nice stuff to a consignment shop and I get credits and then can get other stuff there. One of my friends though swears by Craigs list and sell her clothes in lots and seems to get a pretty good deal and doesn't have to pay shipping or split the money like you would have to on Ebay...

Best of luck to you! It does get expensive getting new clothes everytime you turn around.

Thats a good question. I just bought some shorts today that are a 34" they were a little tight but the button and zipped. I have a pair of 36 that are a little tight. I wish a 36 was a 36.

I donated all my clothes to a homeless shelter who works a lot with HIV/AIDS people who are struggling. The director told me the last time I was there that an older drag queen jumped on all my big girl femme clothes. Made me smile.

I have donated a lot of my stuff, but I need a lot of new clothes and money is not growing on my trees just now so I need a little help so I am trying to sell some of my better stuff and then will donate some too.

I would look at the consignment shop thing over EBay. I have seen too many people get burned.  What sizes and what do you have? I might be interested as I am on the upswing

Heya Jim,

Looking great!  WOW!  I thought I was going to sell some clothes on Ebay and listed one of my suits.  I did get like $40, but it really didn't seem worth the hassle.  I might do consignment, but not sure.  I can donate and take these things off my taxes and it seems like that reduction in income taxes is more worth it.  I know that it is helping people then as well.  I have so many clothes to get rid of and have already given away something like 10 black garbage bags worth.  Those went on last year's taxes and really added up.

Hope all is well with you!
