With my weight loss came lots of attention. I dont think I'm ready for the gay world. I mean I've been gay all my life but honestly the bars, clubs and gay lifestyle not sure if that is for me. I don't know what to do. I want to meet new people, but .. ugh just venting and frustatraded any ideas much appreciated.

Heyyy omg I knew you were gay! I'm having the same problem but I just force myself to go the gay bars and just be flirty and have fun. In fact i'm going this Friday to see a male dancer show. Wish you could come with!

Ah yes I am gay, and honestly dare I say I think it was easier being overweight then being thin.  I just don't know.  The clubs are fun and all, but I'm a bit over it.

Get involved in something you find interesting and you'll meet people that way. Even in our small midwestern city there is an organization for younger people interested in theater or in reading, etc. You need to build your life with things you love to do and meet someone that way. At least through the journey you will be doing things you really enjoy!

*sarcasm alert*

I hear a rumor that there are gays all over the place. That they make up about 10% of the population?! And that they are good at passing as normal people. Oh, and that they lurk everywhere. You never can tell where they might be.

So, beware! If you are so done with bars and clubs and all that **** and you go out into the normal world and just meet normal people, you are at risk of meeting - normal gay people!!

My partner and I withdrew from the bar scene over 25 yrs ago. We don't have any gay friends, 'cause we don't do 'gay' things. Don't think we are missing anything really. Sometimes I wonder if we are, but the feeling always passes before I press myself into action.
