finally broke down and bought a new ring
so it's been nearly months since my surgery, and I'm down just about 120-ish. For months I've been wearing my wedding band on my middle finger. Yesterday at work, I went to the restroom, and when I washed my hands, I lost my ring. It just fell right off my middle finger. I found it in the trash can, it must have slid off when I was drying my hands.
So today, I went and bought myself a temporary wedding band. Something that will fit, at least for the time-being. I didn't want to spend a fortune, as we have planned to buy a new band on my 1 year anniversary of the surgery (the same as my original, just smaller). I stopped at Sears and found something quite nice, and only spent about $60 on it! Who knew that my ring finger would go from a size 15 to a 10.5?!?
I made my husband give me the new ring in the parking lot, and transfered all my promises from the original ring to the new one. It was silly, but kind of sweet.

Me too me too!! I went from a 9 to a 6 and am probably lower.. because the 6 doesn't fit anymore. I am just going to buy an engagement ring closer to the wedding date.. And buying cheapy (under $20) rings to wear in between!
I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!
WOW! That's more than me. I went from an 8 1/2 to a 5 1/2 and from a 10 to a 6 ( I think that's what it was on the right.) Aint it great to have to get the ring fixed. Have you looked into getting it sized instead of getting a new one? That's what I did for mine.

I have only lost 60 pounds and my rings are very loose. I did not expect that. They are not to the point of falling off yet. I want to be careful and not lose them. That smaller ring of Sears is actually quite a victory for you. Congrats! -- Tom

I was suprised how fast my fingers went down. I went and bought ring sizers for mine for $5 so Ican wear my ring and my wedding ring. I don't want to have them resized until I am at my goal weight. I am kinda worried my wedding ring won't be able to be resized enough, it has channel set diamonds and I know they can only be resized so much or the stones may pop out. Might be time for an upgrade!
