suggestions for cold medicine??

I am 6 weeks post roux-en-y today!  I have a terrible head cold.  I was hoping to opt for my usual cold fix--Nyquil.  However, when I called and checked with my doctor's office, they said it had too much sugar.  What should I take?  I got some nasal spray but I feel miserable.

I had sinus problems and I was told to take Sudafed. What about the Nyquil pills? Do those still have too much sugar?

Yes liquid NyQuil made me dump BIG time!!! ugh, it was the worse. But the pills did not. So I take dayquil and nyquil.

I like the lemon-lime Thera-Flu powder that you mix with ho****er.  It comes in a sugar-free version.  It makes a hot drink that is soothing if you have congestion or a sore throat. 

I do the Thera ful liquid... And the Nyquil pills. So far so good!

You could always try good old Chicken and veggie soup!
