Hi ... I see you live in SF. I live in Oakland. I work at Kaiser SSF (although remotely from home) and I'm wondering if we know each other. Do you have any pictures or a name you want to share?  :)

I had my surgery at Kaiser Richmond in September of last year. I'm about 10 pounds from goal and really happy with my care at Kaiser as well as the support.

I heard about the accident that messed up the train. Did you ever get to work? At least the rain has stopped so it may be a wonderful day to play hookie!

I just got into work @ 1000 I commute from SF to Sacramentoto work. MWF I take the train and on Tues and Thurs I drive.

I had surgery at SSF Kaiser June 2008 i am so pleased with the care there. I have a staff that had surgery hte same day thru an HMO (not Kaiser) in Sacramento and had to classes and has had very poor follow up. I am glad that I have been able to help her with what I have learned from Kaiser.

Do you go to any of the post-op support groups? I have been remise in attending but have been thinking about going back.

I feel great and am close to gola but do have a bit of skin in the gut. Oh well I guess I can deal with it deffinitly look better in the new clothes.

Since I work for the State and will be furloughed this Friday I am planning on actually posting pictures and updating the profile. I read this forum every day and have leaned so much from people on the site.

My husband and I (we were married 06/17/2008) have been together for 6 years. We own our little vicotian cottage in the Excelsior District of San Francisco we share our lives with a Siamese cat and two dogs a black Pug and a Komondor.

I enjoyed your TMI post from the weekend.

I do go to support groups. The ones at Richmond are monthly postop and also monthly pre-op and postop. I try to get to both. I'm going to miss the one this evening because my daughter had knee surgery and we work together so I take her home to Pacifica every day and I won't be able to get all the way back through traffic from Pacifica to Richmond in time. But I do find attending both groups really helpful. The postop group helps me where I am in my journey and the combined one allows me to help those who are walking where I just was. Both feed me.

I and the board will look forward to seeing your pictures and updated profile.

Congratulations on your marriage. My daughter and her wife were married in August of 2008. :)

Glad you enjoyed the TMI post. LOL

Have a great day!

Yesterday was a very difficult day emotionally. Dealing with some hard stuff around my son's death last year, the anniversary coming up, my daughter-in-law's behavior... lots of anger and basically had huge meltdown last night.

b - 3 eggbites
l - 1/2 mini meatloaf (overcooked it in microwave and it was too dry), 1 lemon bite
d - turkey meatball ricotta cup

Meltdown after dinner... Z ended up giving me a shot of tequila to get me to sleep. Not the best solution but it worked. Feel like crap today. Pouch is mad at me. Eating some warm chicken casserole for breakfast... it likes warm and creamy. Need to make pouch happy again.

Raven I am so sorry you are having a difficult time..  Even though the pouch was angry from the tekilla.. just think how grouchy it would have become from the stress (I had an ulcer after surgery..)

I hope you are feeling better, and things are looking brighter with the sun shining (thank GOD!)

Do we have a time and place for Friday yet?

Thanks Sweetie. Actually I think the pouch was angry from the crying. It just doesn't like me crying. I think the tekilla *g* saved me by making me stop and sleep. But it's just sore today, like "do not put solids in me today" kind of sore.

How about 7 p.m. and as for the place, I need to see if they take reservations. I'll let you know tomorrow? A walk along the lake is out because they've gotten it all torn up. :(
