Goodwill/Out of the Closet donations
In addition to donating to the large places like Goodwill or SArmy, I've also donated to shelters. Sometimes they don't get much in the way of donations because they are small and sometimes out of the way. I donated to one that helps people living with HIV and the woman was thrilled at my larger-sized feminine clothes because she had a couple of trans women who needed larger sizes. I was thrilled. I probably donated $500 worth of clothes.

Goodwill doesn't check what's in the bag, they'd be happy to have it.
I hear that larger sizes do well on e-bay if you want the hassle of selling them.
And, ah, I used to work at Goodwill - they didn't have washing machines. Kinda steamed things as they went through the line, so lice and dust mites hopefully died - but I'd still wash things when I got them home. (course that was over 15 yrs ago, so things have probably changed)
