Hello

After weeks of just reading I thought I would say HI. I found out today I got  approved. I did not even know the dr's office sent it in. I have thought about have WLS for over a year. I went to the dr on 1-12-09, did all my test in two weeks. And now I have a date 3-4-09. SO FAST.

WOW!!! That was fast.. Most of us here have to go through months of dieting and tests before we are approved. For me, I had my first meeting with my surgeon in Aug. and on the 10th of this month, my surgeons office submitted everything to my insurance. I was required by my insurance to do 6 months of supervised dieting, I did months of tests, psych evaluations, and I had to have my gallbladder removed. Not to mention the sleep studies....it's been a long 6 months.  But...Congrats on getting approved and getting your surgery date so fast. I hope to see you on here more....

Welcome Pat. This is a great place to find support, advice, and the occasional butt-kick when we need it. We also are full of answers to questions you may come across, not because we've read it in a book but because we are living through it, making mistakes, and learning from each other.
