Now..I Wait!

Yesterday my surgeons office submitted everything to my insurance for approval. At first I was calm and happy about it, but then I started crying and I felt so scared. I sure hope what I'm feeling is normal.... I should hear something back from my surgeons office within 10 business days. I have my fingers crossed for a quick approval..lol

Congratulations on getting to this point.  I know it has taken alot  and i was on pins and needles waiting to hear from my surgens office.  It only took about 7 days for my approval to come back the first time.  I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you. I was told yesterday that it usually takes about a week or so to hear back. But they have to tell me within 10 business days.I'm so nervous and I can't think of anything else.

Keeping you in my thoughts, Lisa. I'm sure this is so hard. Since I had Kaiser, I don't know what this part is like but I'm really glad I didn't have to go through it.

Just take deep breaths. It's going to be a-ok.

I'm sending you my best.... CIGNA told me 30 business days before they approve anyone.  I spazzed and called my surgeon and they called in a priority request.  I'm suppose to have my approval any day now.

Id love to know what people do to get their 24-48 hour approvals!

I'm hoping I get mine in 10 business days too (seeings how today IS the 10th business day)

This is the worst part!!! The waiting. I had to wait about a month. Aetna said I would know in 30 busness days. I was nuts! I finally found out on the day I had wanted my surgery! I am soooooooo glad things worked out like they did and I waited an extra month and a half. Good luck!

I called again today seeings how it was day 10... The nurse sent it to the Medical director for review.  The lady on the phone said they normally do this because nurses normally don't sign off on RNYs.
would be so nice if I got my approval today before support group tonight

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm just a mess. I was at work earlier and I totally messed up my paper work, and I had to start all over....lol But doing the extra work (again), kept me busy...
