OT: Well I succeeded partially in my riding class...

I've been sick for going on 6 days. Nasty cold...I had my motorcycle endorsement class this weekend. I woke up Saturday feeling ok, not great, but good enough to attend. We ride for 4.5 hours, I was exhausted, but did very well. Had an absolute blast. Sunday morning I wake up and am way more sick..super bad sore throat, lost my voice..oh and on top of it, started my period. I decide that I'm going to class anyways. i've already paid, I want my endorsement. The instructor pulls me aside and tells me they can tell I'm much more sick than the prior day and if they see that I become a danger to myself or others, i'll be done for the day. My initial thought was "what a *****" but I understood. Well I was doing ok, super tired, super miserable..but hung in there. Then comes the riding test...I was sucktacular...the only one out of 12 people that failed. Couldn't comlpete the circle 8 in the small box and hit a cone and couldn't get up to speed on the swerve exercise. My friend who had accidentally popped a wheelie the day before and was hating riding, passed the goddamn riding test and I didn't. LOL!!! It's a good thing we can retest. In the meantime I'm going to get my permit so that I can legally practice on my own bike. Somebody put a fork in me already...

That does suck. Good luck on the retest. Hope you feel better soon. By the way, love your hair. Wish I had the nerve to cut mine short!

Oh, Honey... you'll be a much better that all of them once you are well, have a little practice and retest. If your class was like mine, they can also let you retake the practice days without cost. If you can, I'd suggest it. It will build your confidence. In my class, I could NOT do the figure 8 for the life of me. I kept putting my feet down. In the test, I just lucked out and did it. I'm still not sure how because I usually still put my foot down on slow tight curves. It's a huge no-no but I think that's part of why I dumped mine this weekend. So if you can master that, you are set to go. I hope you feel better soon. I was sick all last week to. Today, just now starting to feel like I want to live again.
Big (((Hugs))) for feeling better and safe riding!

Hang in there you'll get it. It's a pain in the butt when you're NOT sick!
