Changes...
Before my surgery, I felt like I was always in pain. When I was 17 I was in a pretty bad car accident that totally screwed up my back, and carrying around all of that extra weight definitely didnt help matters much. I would always have such sever back pain, especially when I woke up in the morning.
The point of telling this, is that I am staying with some friends this weekend, and they have this huge air matress int heir guest room. For me air matress = terrible night of sleep with waking up in severe pain. Well I slept GREAT last night, and woke up this morning without any pain at all! This to me is a huge thing, and something I hadnt even really noticed until I expected to wake up in pain and didn't! :D Anyways, just wanted to share this with you all, cause I knew somebody else would "get it".

That is so totally amazing and wonderful. And yes, I do get it. I usually hate hotel room beds because I wake up stiff and in pain. I guess my old bed at home was broken in to my body. Anyway, this past time in Phoenix at the conference, I was amazed that I woke up feeling great, no pain. I assumed it was a really good bed but then realized that I had slept at the same hotel the year before and 97 pounds heavier and woke up in pain. The only difference then, is ... me!
Thank you for reminding me of this. What a great realization for us!

Now ya mention it, I did 45 minutes of housework today standing/ walking in my slippers. No back pain. Sat down for a bit because I promised myself I would after 45 minutes, but not because I hurt.
Thanks for clueing me in to a NSV that I hadn't recognized!!

you know hon it's really kinda strange........as for me, I'm at the point where people actually START thinking about having wls LOL but I can go and go and go........however my brain keeps going but my body still has to rest but i don't realize it. for example, the snow shoveling I did after the ice storm we had here. I shoveled and shoveled and shoveled.........I jjust wouldn't stop until it was done.....i wasn't out of breath or anything but my body was screaming at me to take a break LOL i fould out how much it was screaming at me the next day LOL and the day after that.........and the day after that LOL
Don't go out and have yourself a heart attack!!!!

I know what you mean....for me a NSV was that I can now get up from the floor after playing with the babies without crawling on my hands and knees to something sturdy to hold onto and pull myself up! That happened after only 30 lbs weight loss...I can't wait to see how things changes as I get further along!
