1.  working from home again!
2.  being able to shovel snow without getting out of breath!!!!!!

You come to my home anytime Darlin'. I will cook up a storm for us.

Fortunately the sugar alcohols do me "good" considering my starting point most of the time. LOL... I make sure I eat any "dessert" with my meal so it's not a snack but it has really helped my attitude of not feeling deprived. And they are all high protein, no flour, no sugar.

I totally  Shelly's recipes. They are mostly variation on several themes but enough that I'm not bored. I am copying and printing ones that I'm using and putting them in a binder so I have my own little cookbook. At the start of my food week (shopping on Tuesday, cooking on Wednesday), I just go through the binder and pull out five or seven recipes and cook them up. One recipe usually feeds Z and I both for several meals. I normally put half of everything in the freezer for the following week.

I would say 90% of my success is in the planning. If left to chance, I will **** it up and eat what is easy which is not on my path to weight loss.

One of my treats to myself for doing so well are things for my kitchen that make the cooking easier. I spent $24 on Williams-Sonoma mini muffin cups that are silicone. Absolutely easy and no stick. I also ordered myself a beautiful creme brulee set (for protein soufflets) and an eight-slot mini loaf pan for mini meatloaves.

Now when you come to visit and I'm cooking for you, I'll be wearing my hot pink Williams-Sonoma apron... hell yes with pearls!!!

I have made several of her recipes.  Have you ever checked out Jean's?  She posts her next week's menu on Fridays on the lapband forum. I am not sure if she posts them elsewhere on OH. Here is the link for Jean's recipes: http://jeanslapbandjourney.blogspot.com/  She has innovative dishes that are tasty and easy.

Very cool... thank you. I can use all the help I can get. I love to cool and very frequently cook for others. I like to be able to serve something more than steamed chicken and broccoli. LOL

I'm coming over to help cook!    I have used some of her recipes lately.  I really liked the baked ricotta cheese cups, they were really good.  I want to try that crab topped fish though, sounds really good.  You know, since I have today off I may have to cook and put some stuff in the freezer---  thanks for the idea!!!
