Newbie Here...Hello Fellow LGBT
Hello!
My name is Jamie... I am a 38 yr old male living in Atlanta, Ga. I am a blue eyed, brown hair, 6ft3 , beard (it's new) and currently weigh 315pds. My surgery is scheduled for May 2009. I used to think I was lucky, because I could carry my weight well because of my height... well, guess what...my weight caught up.
I'm here to meet fellow lapband (and other type of surgery!) peeps and to maybe make a new friend or two. How does that sound?
I'm sure I am going to have a TON of questions for all of you who have had surgery already... help me make this journey?
Let's chat!? Say hello!

Welcome! This is the best li'l place on OH.
As a sleever, I have to say, I was totally prepared and somehow absolutely clueless at the same time. There is just nothing to prepare you for what a postop 'sip' really means. Or for what 'full' is. Just a bizarre, surreal, but cool experience.

Welcome Jamie. I've only been here a very short time myself but this is home now. I'm 4 months out from RNY and doing well. Each of us here has had a unique experience but all together it feels like family with lots of support and good advice. I hope you'll make this home too and jump right in.
