Less than a week to go and I'm going stir crazy

I just want to hibernate between now and Friday....  Friday will end my 6 month diet and I'll finally have everything I need to turn in to insurance.  Once my appointment is over with I'm going to drive over to the surgeon's office and turn in 6 months worth of blood sweat and tears.
I have 6 months of food journals, a personal letter to CIGNA, my PCP letter to CIGNA (with the expectation that my PCP won't mind that I wrote it myself and thank me for saving her the hassle of writing it herself), 6 months of PCP visit history (7 visits total), and 24 months of medical history.

I'm "suppose" to be going on a business trip to Houston the following Sunday for the entire week, which should keep me from stressing over the phone call confirming whether or not CIGNA approved me.

Uggghhh... now to find something to keep me occupied for the next 6 days.

Tony, These insurance requirements seem like such hurdles, but you are now past a big one! My approval went fast. I hope yours does. Before you know it you will be post-op and losing.

Tony,

Congrats on the end of the six month diet.  I know I was so happy to turn in my paperwork for the diet.  I had CIGNA PPO and it took them about 5 days to get my approval from them.  Good luck with the approval..

They told me on the phone 3 weeks, but my  from  what I'm seeing people are getting responses within 3 days

Ug CIGNA sucks to deal with, Im sorry. The insurance can take up to 30 days to approve, mine (BCBS) gave me my approval on like the 29th or 30th day so hold on for that too. It will all be over and done with soon and before you know it you will be 6 mo post op.

When you are getting stressed go for a walk. That would have worked for me if I had "normal" hours. Good luck on everything and maybe this November we can get together and I can see less of you.

I will keep my fingers crossed that you get approved sooner as opposed to later!
