HOLY CRAP!!!!! (cross posted)
ok....i went to wal-mart to get some greek yogurt and I thought i would buy a couple more pairs of pants......yeah i'm being a shopping ho now. Well i thought i would trick myself out and get a couple sizes smaller than what I normally wear thinking that I have set myself a little goal to hit. I got 44's because i been wearing 46's and 48's for a while. Well i got home and thought I would attempt to get them on.....OMG they FIT!!!!!!!!!! i couldn't believe it!!!!!! and they are COMFORTABLE!!!!!!! i also got an XL button down shirt and an XL sweater and they fit wonderfully too!!!! i put a couple pics up in my profile. I'm beside myself! I have not worn a size 44 since the 8th - 9th grade!!!!
WOW! That is so great! What a fabulous surprise for you!
I bet you are very proud of yourself.
Thanks for the inspiration I am still pre op.
It's makes a big difference being able to get on OH after work and hear such uplifting stories. Thanks again!

Thank you! It was a total shock! I think I'm in more shock about the shirt I bought since it's an XL...and it's a button down shirt. I could never wear anything like that without having to get it about 3 sizes too big because it would never button down all the way.

Awww... thank you Aaron. I am pretty thrilled with myself these days. On the other hand, sometimes I feel like I can't compare with those who've lost so much more. I only had about 100 pounds to lose and lol... yeah, I know, that's still morbidly obese but I feel really humbled by those, like yourself and others in my support group who've lost so much more and been doing it so much longer. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/bowdown.gif)
I think that's triggered by the fact that I had my 3-month postop group visit yesterday and got some glares from some of the others in the group because I'm only 3 months out and wearing a size 10/12. Of course they don't get that I lost almost 1/2 my weight before surgery. It's been a little sore spot with me in support groups that I haven't "done as much". I know congnitively that this isn't the case, that it's not a contest but it still feels wierd.
