Yahoo Health had this article on-line today... http://health.yahoo.com/experts/eatthis/24416/20-worst-foods -in-america-2009

Check out this Baskin Robbins shake!  This is obscene. Glad I only eat ice cram a few times a year and have never had much of a craving for it.

The Worst Food of 2009
Baskin Robbins Large Chocolate Oreo Shake
2,600 calories
135 g fat (59 g saturated fat, 2.5 g trans fats)
263 g sugars
1,700 mg sodium

We didn’t think anything could be worse than Baskin Robbins' 2008 bombshell, the Heath Bar Shake. After all, it had more sugar (266 grams) than 20 bowls of Froot Loops, more calories (2,310) than 11 actual Heath Bars, and more ingredients (73) than you’ll find in most chemist labs. Rather than coming to their senses and removing it from the menu, they did themselves one worse and introduced this caloric catastrophe. It’s soiled with more than a day’s worth of calories and three days worth of saturated fat, and, worst of all, usually takes less than 10 minutes to sip through a straw.

For the complete list of the 20 Worst Foods in America 2009, check out these rankings and the best options to eat instead of the gut bombs!

LOL... You know these fast food places make this stuff look so damn enticing. I never thought of calories and fat when I ordered. I was a big Chipotle fan until a few years ago. A friend pointed me to the Chipotle Fan website where you can calculate the nutrition data on the burrito you always order, http://www.chipotlefan.com/index.php?id=nutrition_calculator. Mine came out around 1,000 calories and 35g of fat. It was enough to make me stop going. -- Tom

What I could figure of mine it was 1005 and 40 g of fat. I know it was higher since I got extra sour cream and cheese to help put the fire of the steak out. I will admit I mourn the loss of eating Chipotle but I was mourning that before surgery. There isn't any here in CT. When I went home for Thanksgiving in '07 I was there for 2 weeks and had about 3 of them knowing I wouldn't eat them again.

you know it's funny that McDonalds nor Burger King are up there.  That's what I always used to eat as well as Pizza hut.  I'm sure all three are equally bad.  But you know now that I read the food they listed, none of it sounded particularly appetizing anymore LOL  Thank god for WLS!!!!

Actually McDs and the BKing are ranked in the eat this not that books. Keep in mind these books rank the worst of the worst. There's actually an ad at the bottom of the page reminding you that an egg mcmuffin has less fat than a banana nut muffin.

My partner loves the eat this not that books and is actually loosing weight following their recommendations and principles.

I have been thinking of buying the latest Eat This Not That book. It's pretty inexpensive. I may look for it this weekend. That is why I love the Hungry Girl website and daily emails. They do a lot of eat this and not that comparisons; actually creating recipes of their own that approximate the bad foods. -- Tom

I actually still go to Chipotle. But I get the Chipotle chicken bowl. No rice, no beans, no cheese, extra salsa (2 different kinds) ... the point? Hell I don't know but it's still really good.
I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!
