Holiday Confessional

Alright.  We can't all be saints over the holidays, and we're all bound to slip up a bit here and there.  Anyone feel like clearing the air and admitting their "whoopsies" over the holiday season?

I just bit the head off a small gingerbread man.  I ate the head before regaining willpower and throwing away the rest of the cookie.  But still... I had the head.

No comments from the peanut gallery.

Anyone else slip up a bit?

ok my lips are sealed   i had REAL eggs for breakfast for two days in a row and I ate one cookie that I made. then I had two slices of full fat cheese.  I think that's about it.  I was lucky enough to have a very supportive family and they provided me with food I could eat.

someone's going to spank me after I air my laundry list (nice post)

Thanksgiving - I was pretty good... although I had like 3 servings of this jello stuff that I thought was healthy... turns out if was loaded with cream cheese

Thanksgiving - Christmas  --  forgive me father for I have sinned... I should have refused that full platter of Christmas cookies, fudge, brownies, chocolate covered pretzels, rice crispy treats, and other nom-noms...  but instead I ate the whole damn thing.. in 3 days.

Christmas Eve - Ham, sweet potato casserole, russel stover, cookies, chocolate covered coffee beens, chocolate covered edamame, egg nog

But guess what!!!!!!   From Thanksgiving weeks Weigh in to Todays Weigh in... I'm down .6 lbs!!!!!

<<<<<>>>>  Such support and love.

Now on to my last 28 days of my pre-op diet... I'm in the final stretch!!!

OK...."nom noms?"  I think that's my new favorite word...!

I have to admit, I've never heard of chocolate covered edamame.  I'm sort of fascinated and horrified at the same time....two great tastes that sound really wrong together....

Congrats on continuing to lose!  I'm so afraid that I'll gain everything back because I had a teaspoon too much mashed potato that I've grown really paranoid about what I eat.  Sounds like you might be in the same boat as me, since you kept an itemized list of each and every thing you slipped up on since Thanksgiving!

Looking forward to the holidays being a thing of the past...just New Years left to get through, and since i'm not much of a drinker that one should be the easy one.

I have to keep 6 months of food journals.... although I um... didnt mention the plate full of nom-noms and the chocolate covered edamame from Trader Joes.  I said it was "Edamame Hummus" which Trader Joes also sells.
Hey... I lost weight so it's all good :P

I had an entire bag of Lindt truffles this past weekend... The entire DAMN bag. I think yesterday I probably had at least 20 in one setting. My partner now knows that they are forbidden in this house. They go through the band like they were water.
