What I Got For Christmas

I came to Houston to see my family for Christmas. I was on the floor playing with my little nephew and I could've sworn he said his first word, which amazingly was my name. I sat there for a second and dismissed it as a gurgle or gas or something but said something about it to my sister. A few mintues later she came and picked him up and we were talking about it. He looked strait at me and said my name again!!!

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Ahh how sweet!! And you were playing on the floor. Don't know about you, but that used to be uncomfortable.

Boy, aren't those the things that make life great!  You sure are an important person to the little guy, huh?

What a wonderful Christmas Gift.. That is what life's all about, isn't it?

Hope the rest of your holiday is as memorable.

That is so sweet - and nice that you really appreciate it.   Is your sister pissed that your name was his first word?   Hee hee.   Aunts rule!

Happy Holidays,   Alison

Yea my sister was quietly infuriated, which, truth admitted, made it even sweeter (she and I don't get along too well).

Today was just as awesome. He didn't say anything else, but he did laugh at me a lot. According to everyone there, I'm the only one he's really entertained by. Considering that my sister and her husband have the sence of humor of wet cement, this isn't a big feat  but I'll certainly take it. I had a really bad experience at church today so it kind of balanced the day off a little bit.

Since when did they start using stadium seats in churches? Don't they know that those are a WLS candidate's worst nightmare?
