I don't know if you guys have been following the weather but we got quite the icy storm last night. Kids don't have school today either. Our power was out from 5am till 1pm and we were lucky that we didn't have any trees down ....just some branches!

I posted pics on my profile :)

Yea we had a freak snow storm in Baton Rouge. I never thought I'd use those words in the same sentence. Some of my neighbors have lived here all of their lives and had never seen it snow.

Whoever said "it'll be a cold day in hell when i...." now has something to live up to.

IMy boyfriend got out at noon yesterday because of it so we spent the rest of the day hanging out :)

We drove through Worcester and Auburn and a lot of the street lights were out. The trees were beeeautiful! For some reason further east where I live there wasn't any ice so I was skeptical of the actual impact but then his car mechanic told him his entire town will probably be out of power for a week!

We lost power last Thursday night @ 10pm , no water either! all night long we heard the snapping of trees and them falling to the ground. When I attempt to drive my son to work which is just about one mile from our house, it looked like a war zone out side! trees were knocked down, power lines hanging adross the road, ice every where! I live in the town of Leicester which wa**** pretty hard last week. our road still has trees all over. we finnerally got our lights on Tuesday of this week! We went without the internet and cable TV , until this morning ! some neighbors in my town are still without heat. Last Friday morning I drove to the nearest Mc donalds to get food for the rest of the family and had to wait 45 mins just to get served. The kids around here are very happy to be out of school until Jan 5th. We did stay in the house during the night even though it was reading below 50 degrees.
please keep all the people here in MA who are still without power & heat in your prayers.
