This is so sad. I could never do that to my child.

from some of the stories i've heard, being kicked out would have been preferable to what so many have endured.

it's nice to be surrounded by the people who i think should be raising children.

I love my gay child. She is a wonderful human being and I couldnt be more PROUD of her!!!!!! I can not imagine feeling any differently about her for any reason. I gave birth to her. She has taught me the true meaning of unconditional love. I do not know what I did to deserve such a perfect child. She is truly a blessing to me and I tell her every day how proud she makes me!!!

sadly, not all glbt persons are as fortunate as your daughter is. i think everyone here could tell you either his or her own story -- or we know someone who has gone through pure hell.

you know, my parents are devout christians and when they found out about me, it took them almost a whole year to talk to me.  They had to deal with it the way they know how and now we're alright as long as we don't talk about it.  They love me to death and support me in any way they can.....even to the extent of saying that they wish I could find a good man to be with.  People say and do the hard stuff because that unfortunately is the society accepted "norm" for THEIR society.......but given time, I bet they would come around.  Cutting off your child like that is like cutting off your own appendage.  If parents are willing to do that to their own children then they don't deserve to have children.

i just thought it was so ironic that in the comments section, posters challenged whether kids are kicked out of their homes or harmed when they come out , and the proof is right there among the other posters.
