Day without Gay
Don't flame me... but seriously, did anyone call out today?
In a time when employers (mine especially) are firing people for no apparent reason other than to cut back, and in a time where finding a job is impossible for some... did anyone call in?
I'm here sitting at work doing my thing... just curious what everyone else was doing

I think the basic concept is a good one, but in light of the current economic situation, I wouldn't fault anyone for going to work today. I am lucky. I finished up school yesterday and don't have to wor****il Monday. So, I am gonna hang out at home while being gay, LOL.

I quit a job working at a book store in the 90s because they would not let me change the name of the "Alternative Lifestyle" section to "gay and lesbian"
I had just come out and the section had always bothered me. So I decided one day to write up a new sign for the section. The manager pulled me aside and questioned why I did that and said they couldn't have "gay and lesbian" showing on their aisle display. I went off and said "it's not like you can alternate day by day on what you want to be. We went at it and I ended up walking.
