Small victory for me

Last night was a bears' dinner night out with 7 bear friends of ours. We started the evening at a Brazilian steakhouse. If  you have never been to one, they bring an endless parade of meats on skewers they carve off for you. Not my choice and not good for me. But, its where everyone wanted to go. I did fine eating small portions and passing on many meats I knew would have me sliming. We then saw Legally Blond, the musical. After the play, we stopped at Denny's for late night snacks. This is also not a good thing for me, but when you travel with bears, it's what you get. I broke down and ordered the Moons of My Hammy. I knew I could not do the bread but thought I could handle the eggs, ham and cheese. Well, the answer was no. I had like 4 bites and brought the rest home. I tried it again this a.m. and the same results. So, the dogs got a treat. The victory... after this night of food, I weighed in 1 pound less this morning!  -- Tom

I totally know what you mean about Bear dinners!  I did got to our Bear Bar night last night for the first time in a very long time.  I might have had a drink?!?!?!  I am glad that you were able to go to such a place and do well.  I have tried eggs and ham together and it is tough.  Isn't it great that our bodies just flat out tell us what isn't going to work now?  Your new avatar looks great!!

Michael, Yes, our bodies do tell us what we are to eat. It is a new experience every time the adjust the band for me. I am pretty sure the combo of ham and eggs did it. That seems to be the case for me. I can do eggs any way alone. The same for ham. Together, it's bad news. Thanks for the compliment on my avatar. It was taken Saturday night at the restaurant. -- Tom

Hey Tom,

It was good you participated and ate some normal food.  Even though small amounts.  My German Shepherd loves when I over do it.  Sounds like your right on track.

Be good,

Kent

I went to a Brazilian BBQ when I was on vacay. I was about 5 months out and got my protein for the day. LOL I had a few bites of each meat and was so full. But man was it good.
