Avatar help/new pics uploaded

I am trying to change my avatar. When I select my picture and upload it come back and says its too large a file. Any idea how I can get a new avatar? I tried several different pictures.

I also upload some new pictures at a month post-op.

Jeff, The pic need to be 100 X 100 max and under 20KB. Do you know how to edit the pic to that size? If not, you can use an on-line service like www.picnik.com -- Tom

I was never able to put a real pic in for my avatar either, same problem. My daughter drew this avatar for me so that I would have something to use.
But maybe I'll try that website and see if i can fiddle with one of my pictures.
