Am I normal?
So my buddy has lost 51 lbs and she had surgery a week or two before me. I am 1 month and like two weeks out and I have only lost 29 lbs form my pre-surgery weight. I feel like this is sooooooo slow. I have not lost anything in about three weeks but a couple lbs. How much did you lose about 1 month out?

gaaaa! don't you hate it when "everybody's different"?
it may be true, but it's annoying.
to tell you the truth, i don't remember. i think a lot also depends on how much you have to lose. i don't really get on the scale very often since i really do believe "it's just a number." clothing -- that's my real measure. i wish i could have made it to the oh conference here in houston for the clothing exchange. boy do i need new clothes for work.

p.s. have you settled on a craft for your holiday gifts?

Hi Sommer:
I was and AM in the same exact boat. My best friend had it in December and I had it in March, she lost like 140 pounds in 8 months and I have lost 87. She hasn't worked out a single day, and I KILL myself 3 - 5 days a week at 5:30 in the morning.
The bottom line is everyone is different, AND it really does depend on how much you have to lose. She started close to 300 and I started at 240. The smaller you are at surgery the slower it will come off. But hang in there it will happen. I am now a size 8 (almost a 6) and things are snapping back to where they once were already..
And my family just finished our holiday gifts last night. We etched wine glasses. On one side it says "Wishing you" and on the other side we etched "Peace and Equality". We also printed up a picture of our son during the No on 8 rally, on his skate board with a huge No on 8 sign (it's on my site). We are giving them to everyone, friends and family, democrat and republican alike. I can't wait.

I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!
I know how frustrating it is! My best friend and I had surgery three days apart. He kicked my butt, with the weight lost. But, overall I had much more weigh on me. Now we weigh the same amount. Those darn scales, don't you just want to through it out the door?
Keep it up...bottom line, your down!!
