only 3 more days
Maria:
I know you're nervous about the Lovenox injections but, really, the anticipation is much worse than the actual event -- and I'm a real "needle-phobe." For that reason, I'm not able to do the deed myself, so Cynthia gives me the shots. The syringes come pre-filled and the needle part is just about 1/2 inch and as thin as a hair. It really doesn't hurt at all. Seriously.
The worst part for me was the gas which decided to stay put until the second day post-op. I swear, I felt like a float from the Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and was incredibly uncomfortable. Once I was able to walk the floor, things got better and I had some relief.
You'll do fine -- I'm really excited for you!

Joanne, thanks so much for the encouragment on the lovenox. I was told it didnt hurt but found that very hard to believe. Thanks for confirming that it is not so bad.
Think of me friday at 1:30pm. I will have my laptop at the hospital so as soon as I feel up to it, I will update on how I am doing.
Thanks
Maria
