Hello friends- I'm wondering if anyone has tried a new protein drink called Liqua-cel and if so, what are your thoughts on it.  (I'm still having a hard time getting those drinks in and thought I'd try this one)    I you've had it, please let me know. Also, where did you buy it?   Thanks. Carla

If you can see through most protein liquids, it's usually worthless collagen protein.  Don't waste your time or money, because collagen (even when supplemented with additional amino acids) is low, low low quality.  "Liqua-cel" is collagen (gelatin) based.

Thanks Steve. Do you know of any protein drink that's easy on the stomach? I am having such a hard time getting my protein in and have tried so many different ones (Isopure, Nectar, whey, etc) and they all sit in my pouch like a rock, then I feel nauseated. Any ideas would be appreciated from you or anyone. Thanks. Carla

Can you tolerate Sugar-Free Carnation Instant Breakfast made with milk (or Lactaid-treated milk)?  It contains powdered skim milk, which some people feel tastes less "whey-y" than most protein powders.  Also Slim Fast Lo Carb ready-to-drink shake is casein (milk) based, not whey based.

Youre only a month post-op, so your problem _might_ be trying to drink too much at once.  I'd keep your protein drink refrigerated and only dole out 2 oz. at a time.

Good luck!
