PSYCH REVIEW???? FACT or FRAUD?????????
WHAT DID YOU PAY FOR PSYCH.. REVIEW????
Last week I had my first appointment with the Psychologist for my Psych review. Or first visit was only about 20 min long and most of the was to fill out paperwork. (I dont understand it) At the end of that visit the Psych,, (a very STRANGE MAN) advised me that once he verified insurance that he would cb and schedule the next appointment bla bla bla bla.. So today I got tired of waiting for the man to cb so I called him.. He called back and scheduled and advised me that my CO pay for his services was $$$$$$$150.00.. According to my insr co when I called 3 weeks ago they covered 100% of anything Psychiatric (I work for FEDEX they dont want anyone going postal) Do you think the Psych,,,, might be trying to take advantage of me?? With a 100% coverage,, I didnt think there would be a co-pay at all let alone 150.00 co pay.. What did you all pay for that??? Just wondering.. ANYONE ELSE WITH CIGNA OUT THERE??

Also in todays insurance world, most providers have electronic access to benefit information via Ecare, NEBO, or WEBMD. This requires no call to the insurance company at all. They can check co-pay, deductible remaining, almost anything really having to do with eligibility and benefits. This could be why they show no phone call from any provider checking your benefits.
But it always comes back to how you feel about the provider, so if you were not happy with him, it is best to find someone else who you feel more comfy with. I would also call Cigna to see who is in your network.
