Just some thoughts here..hang with me, will you?

1.) I no longer pee the same amount that I used to. I would almost asked to be timed it was so long. Now it's a quick blip and I'm done. Now, don't panic, I am getting ALL of my fluids in, but I miss a long pee.

2.) I will never have one of those poops where when you're done, you want to weigh yourself because you know you've just lost a significant amount of body mass. You know what I'm talking about. They're so great you almost want to share them with friends and family..I can't even play sudoku on my cell phone anymore because by the time I fire up the game I'm done.

3.) People are overly curious about what I eat. What can I eat? What can't I eat? How often? Ooo, what are you eating over there? Should you actually eat that? Can you eat that?

4.) Meat, once my friend, not so much right now...we're kind of on the outs.

5.) I can eat noodles no problem. Scared to try rice...

I'll hang with you and give you my thoughts, too:

1. You will. Once you are able to drink more at a time, this will likely return to normal.

2. Here too, you will. Give it some time, but this will come back to you.

3. I found that the novelty did eventually wear off for most of the people that I am around on a regular basis. People do still occasionally bring it up to me, but it's more like "I'm planning a party and want to have food you can eat. Could you have ____?" Right now, it's all new and unusual, so they're still trying to figure it out.

4. As early out as you are, if you try something and have it go badly, try it again in a few weeks. What your body can deal with will continue to change.

5. Up until about 9 months out, I could eat exactly two bites of rice without feeling ill. Really, though, I saw no good reason to eat all those carbs early on anyway. They take up valuable space I could be filling with protein. Nowadays, I'm a bit more relaxed wtih them.

Curious people.... My coworkers watch what I eat like a hawk and wonder if I am really allowed to eat that.  I sometimes feel like I am under a microscope. -- Tom

1) You will eventually. I have longer pee's now since I don't have the weight on my bladder. The hubby and I used to joke that I had the bladder the size of a walnut. No I can go longer than 2 hours and pee like a racehorse.

2) LMAO I lost 5 pounds in the course of 24 hours. Ok, I was really really constipated and hadn't gone for over a week. Once you start eating more you will poop more.

3) Don't cha just love the food police?

4) I am just now starting to be able to eat chicken. Steak is my friend like you wouldn't believe. Give it time, it should get better.

5) I can eat Chinese noodles but no pasta. I got 2 raviolis down and was stuffed.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

What everyone else said AND my son and partner are STILL my food police. I think they always will.

Hang in there, 6 months and you'll wonder if they really did the surger..

I have found a new way of life that has kept me at Goal since 2008.. And keeping it that way!
