Shrimp?
Tonight for dinner I had shrimp, they were medium size. After I had eaten 2 1/2 I had this pain in around the middle of my chest and it lasted for about an hour. I have not had this happen before and was wondering did the shrimp not agree with my pouch, did I eat too much or was something stuck? Thanks for the help

I eat a lot of shrimp, and I have since pretty close to the time I started on solid foods.
It could be that your pouch is just not ready for shrimp. Early on, if you try a food and it doesn't work out, the results will often be different if you try it again a few weeks later.
Another possibility is that you didn't chew it well enough. Compared to what you are able to eat in puree and soft food stages, shrimp is pretty solid. Your pouch might need you to work on it a bit more before sending it down.

It could be something was stuck. When I had my first gall bladder attack that's what my surgeons nurse thought it was. She said some people think it's a heart attack! I would give it two weeks (or what ever your nut suggests for waiting before trying a fodd again) and try some again. I know I can get 1-1 1/2 large and about 2 average size shrimp in even now.

Sounds like it was stuck. After my last fill, I now have to watch how and what I eat. I was at dinner with friends at a Chinese restaurant. I had a shrimp dish and next thing you know I had the pain and had to throw it up. I took the leftovers home and had it the next day. I chewed very thoroughly and had no problems the second time around. -- Tom

I agree with most....something was stuck. My first 'incident' with something getting stuck was with shrimp, as well. I had ordered shrimp with vegetables from an Asian restaurant and obviously couldn't eat it all, so took the rest to work for lunch the next day. I don't know if nuking it in the microwave caused the shrimp to become more rubbery or what, but it did not work the same way it did the night before. I ended up having to throw it up (sorry), and while I still eat shrimp from time to time, I'm always VERY cautious to chew it well...especially if the texture is even the slightest bit rubbery.
