no sugar added or sugar free
check and see if it has sugar alcohols in it. if it doesn't and if the amount of actual sugar in it is trace then you should be okay. but if it has sugar alcohols in it, beware
generally speaking though, nsa is okay (but i usually just go for the regular version because it tends to have less fat in it.)

Jeff -- of course your best course of action is to check with your nutritionist, but here's what mine said at the seminar I just went to:
When you see grams of sugar on the Nutritional Facts check the ingredient list. Products containing fructose and lactose are fine to consume -- these are natural sugars. She said to stay away from products where sugar, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, and honey are listed in the ingredients. Those all indicate that sugar has been added.
Here's how I handle sugar free and no sugar added stuff. This works for me but like snowflakes.....everyone is a little different LOL What works for me is that if there is sugar or sugar alcohols or both, then I take both grams and add them together. If they add up to over 10 grams per serving, I don't buy that item. anything up to 10 grams my body can handle. anything over that then it's dump city. However with you being newly post op, that number might be even less.
I have often thought about getting the no sugar added fudgesicles but I've been apprehensive in getting them and stay with the sugar free popsicles.......however I'm really tired of them LOL I have three boxes in my freezer!
