MRI tomorrow....not good

I have had shoulder pain on and off for months....just thought it was tendonitis....well it has been getting worse..especially after the last couple of weeks.....and then this weekend it got REALLY BAD....and then.....I started getting tingling in my hands.....and my hands were going really cold...so I went to occupational health...they took x-rays....well it was so bad today that I went to my DR.....I have an MRI tomorrow morning.......This suck because I know this has disk involvement.......AARRGG

Please send positive energy my way...if it is a disc I will not be able to do my job....scary

Sean, don't even give this thought the benefit of your consideration. I know it's scary but, if you can, join us in focusing some positive energy.

Here's what's interesting: In one sentence you're saying that you "know this has disk involvement," while in the next sentence you're getting worried over what will happen "IF it is a disk." The point? You really don't know for sure yet what's going on. Could be a disk problem, could be a pinched nerve, could be any one of a number of things. Wait for the results of the MRI, then act accordingly. Also, remember that medical doctors seldom recommend alternative heath care, like massage therapy, accupuncture, or chiropractic.

There are always options, there is always hope.

Stay positive and know that you are being thought of with all good wishes. Please keep us posted, okay?

Thank You guys !!!! I believe in prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I am scared...I had a L3-L4 discectomy 8 years ago....I am not doom and gloom but I know this is serious. I was a rehabilitation nurse for 6 years before going into child psych.....I am hoping it is a pinched nerve...I will know tomorrow.....And I am positive in the outcome.....OH I have been relatively pain free with the lower back.....so even at the worst it is not that bad.....
