YEA !!!! I have a date
I dropped my approval letter off at my surgeon's office today and was given a Surgery date of
Nov 21st. I am so EXCITED . I bought my Impact Recovery Shakes ( how do those taste anyway? ), informed by boss who is extremely supportive, and have just been in overdrive reading and looking up any and everything I can find on RNY post op recovery. I can't believe it is only 28 days away. Time is either gonna fly by, or go extremely slow. It's kinda weird, but I almost have that kid at Christmas feeling.
Well I am off to read some more post op diet stuff.

Thank you so much.
I am so happy and also very blessed to have a wonderfully supportive woman by my side who has encouraged me 100% this whole time
I also have a great boss who I think is more excited than I am. She had RNY with Dr Kane in 1999 and is doing great 9 years later. I have enough PTO for a little over 3 weeks, but if I need more, she will let me work from home as long as I need to.
I hope the time flies by really fast. They actually could have done me next Friday the 31st, but I decided that was not enough time to train the person who will be doing my job while I am out. Then my surgeon will be on vacation from the 1st-20th of November. So he should be nice and refreshed when he does my RNY on the 21st.
I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and say 27 days to becoming a loser.
