What has been up with me.

I thought I had posted this here but I guess I didn't Here it is...

Well yesterday I was taking a hot shower cause I was cold. Well the temp was hot cause I was cold and taking the shower is cause well, I stink if I don't. (Damn extra skin) ANYWAY... all of a sudden my Blood pressure (I'm assuming that's what it was since it felt like last time) drops and I wake up on the bathroom floor. I felt out of the shower and hit the floor. I busted my head, *****nees, and one shin. I also have a sore chest from hitting it. No bruises on the chest but I have them everyplace else. After the hubby took his shower we went back down to the dungeon and I almost passed out again. Then last night I was on the computer and I started to feel sick all over again. I have an MRI on Wednesday. Here's to hoping they find SOMETHING.

Kathy - I am so sorry this has happen to you!  It is totally scary to say the least!  You also might want to have your levels checked.   And remember - just because you are in the "normal" range for "normal" people does not make you in the range for RNY.  Don't let your Dr. just accept these numbers.  I have heard this happening due to lack of iron or being anemic. This could be caused by several things - hopefully it will not be anything serious and just a vit. issue!

LOL  I wasn't "normal" pre-op even. My Iron has to be high or I feel it. I was "normal" and anemic at the same time. While I was at the hospital I had a full workup on my levals. It's all "normal".

Please call the DR. today !!!! They will want to know and could send you for an EKG or other studies.....Stand up SLOWLY and drinks LOTS of Fluid.....!!!!

I went to the hospital and on the way had an EKG done and at the hospital had another one. I went in and saw the doctor the next day. They have no clue why this is happening. I see my PCP and not the PA in about two weeks. I will see if he has any suggestions. I am NOT a fan of the PA. Moron missed an anemia diagnosis cause it was "normal" but didn't check my previous labs.

I had an ulcer bleed last year that cause similar symptoms (basically, could not stand up without passing out).  Once they filled me back up with blood I was fine.   Have they checked your blood counts?

Yup, they were checked on Sunday.

honey, i am so sorry that you're dealing with this. i started fainting when i was about 6 months post-op and i've had spells where i either faint or "brown-out" 100's of times a day (brown-out = an ocassion where i NEARLY faint but don't. like, everything turns black and my ears are wooshing and my lips and ears tingle but then my vision and hearing return after a few minutes.) and then i've had times where i'll go a month or more without ANY episodes. and i can't get anybody to give me a definite reason for it. low blood sugar, low potassium, low blood pressure, dehydration, low sodium... i've been told all of these reasons and then some...
