out of hosp

Hey everyone.  So the surgery was a sucess, but day 2 i really thought i would die.  I was sooooooo sick.  the day i was released,yesterday, was much better.  i am keeping things down.  i have a question.  was anyone's eyesight affected?  i can barely read with my glasses on now.

Glad to see you made it home, and glad to know that everything went fine witht eh surgery.  I had no issues with my eyesight after it..  If I can be of any help let me now..

hey Sommer!  I'm so glad to hear from you hon!  *HUGE BEAR HUGS*  I'm glad your surgery was successful!  My second day in the hospital was pure hell for me.....I had a blockage so I had to stay an extra day.

As for your eye sight, that may still be after effects from the anasthesia or if you're taking pain meds, it could be fromt hat too.  I would call your doctor's office and confirm.

Glad you are home and everything went fine. I would call the doctor about the eyesight, with all my surgeries (3 plus 3 upper G.I.'s in 2 years) I never had problems seeing.

yay sommer!!! and yeah, your eyesight is probably being affected by any pain meds you're on or possibly the after effects of the anesthesia.

Thanks guys...i will wait it out for a few days.  I have acually gained sice surgery.  prob all that air they put in my belly and i have not been able to pass gas or burp at all.  not to mention, i am so damn tired.

oh and don't forget about the weight of the iv fluids they pumped into you...

yeah IV fluids will put the pounds on you.  don't forget to take it easy but also don't forget to walk walk walk......that will get rid of that gas for you.  And don't forget to sip sip sip....right now concentrate on getting your fluids in because you don't wanna dehydrate.  Liquids first then protein.

I gained 5-10 in the hospital.

Welcome back and I'm glad you're starting to turn the corner and do better.    How are your eyes being affected?   Blurriness or something else?    My eyes are affected by blood pressure,  allergies and meds that cause them to dilate.  I don't know what it could be in your case, but talk to your doctor.
