You know.....we have such a strong bond here. We have much more in common with each other than our regular non-wls gay people :) so we're twice bonded! makes sense that we look out for each other and be helpful :) *HUGE BEAR HUGS*

This is just my take on the gay community from someone straight. I feel more accepted here than anyplace else and I think the community as a whole (cause there are the jerks, just like in any group) is more accepting of things. The closest friends I have had my whole life have been gay. The acceptance that I have felt from everyone I have met is amazing.

Joanne ....Thank You !!!! This board is all about SUPPORT !! I know that "we" have all struggled to be accepted for who "we" are. I know that because of the sttruggles I have had personally have lead me to be accepting of others.

I agree. I find myself chatting here much more than I ever did on the other forums. I find the advice here to be something that is of real value to me. I can relate so much better to others on the board. I am thankful that Sean posted a message on the Lap band board to let me know this board existed. Thanks again to all!
